Two weeks before starting Mission Without Limits https://transformtheglobe.com/2021/04/09/stage-three-of-mission-without-limits-takes-place-in-mesoamerica/, we were passing through a difficult process with our mother. One Wednesday afternoon she suffered several cardiac arrests and we had to take her to the doctor to admit her. Instantly I started crying and I said to God, “What do you want to teach me?” And God told me, “I am the one who takes care of you, supports you and sustains you. I am your God.” I cried and understood what God wanted to me to learn.
On Friday afternoon I went to the hospital to stay with my mom. While there, my brother called me and said, “Pray the prayer of faith with Mommy.” My mother and I prayed together, and she accepted the Lord as her Lord and her Savior! At that moment I wrote to my pastor who was supporting us and said: Pastor, I see a peace in my mom that she hasn’t had before.
Within 20 minutes my mother had passed away.
It was a difficult time for the whole family.

On Monday, March 29, Mission Without Limits began. My brother and I decided to say yes to the Lord and to his work in spite of the circumstances. It was an amazing time where God opened my knowledge more to missions. On Saturday morning, God spoke into my life with a testimony from a missionary named Elba. She had experienced a similar situation of loss with the death of her little sister. She said that God opened doors and a new opportunity for her to do missions. Then I understood that God would do the same for me. That very week, God opened a new door: my friend who is working in another country wrote to me: “Isaac, would you like to be part of a project? We need a web designer to work in the MesoCentral Field.” I was overjoyed to receive that invitation and agreed to serve as a volunteer missionary with the Church of the Nazarene.
I am discovering God’s purpose in my life. I see how He is preparing and empowering me despite the loss of my mother. At first, I didn’t understand anything, but now I realize that God is working in a supernatural way. He has been fulfilling every promise in my life, and I know that he will continue to prove faithful to me.
